Debusk Fire & Rescue is run by volunteers. No experience needed. We provide all gear and training.
Ways to help
Firefighter
Ages 18 and up, no experience required. We respond to structure, wildland and vehicle fires and vehicle accidents. All gear and training provided.
Junior firefighter
Ages 14 to 17. Juniors train with us on Monday nights and can respond to some calls to learn and provide scene support. They do not ride on apparatus or take part in fire suppression. A parent or guardian must consent. Questions about the junior program go to our Training Officer, Daniel Mitchell, who administers it. Use the form on this page or email info@debuskvfd.org and mention the junior program.
What to expect
- Adults must be 18 or older. Our junior program is for ages 14 to 17.
- No experience is required.
- We train on Monday nights at 6 pm, except the first Monday of the month.
- Our monthly business meeting is on the first Monday at 7 pm (holidays may move it).
- All gear is provided.
- Applicants live or work in or near our response district.
- Applicants must pass a background check.
- Members commit to training and call responses.
