Our story
Debusk Fire & Rescue has served the Debusk community from Station 22 since 1974, and we are growing. Our motto, Duty - Honor - Community, guides how we serve.
Our legal name is Debusk Volunteer Fire Department Inc. We are a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN 47-1249424).

What we do
Emergency response
Structure fires, wildland fires, vehicle fires and vehicle accidents. We set up landing zones for medical helicopters and give lift assists when EMS asks. We do not provide EMS.
Rehab support
Our Rehab service helps fire crews rest, recover and rehydrate on scene, supporting all 14 Greene County fire departments and neighboring counties on request.
Community safety
We install smoke alarms for residents of the Debusk community through Tennessee's Get Alarmed! program, and we share burn permit and fire safety information.
Training
We train on Monday nights at 6 pm, except the first Monday of the month, which is our 7 pm business meeting. All gear is provided.
In the community
Look for us in the Greeneville Fourth of July and Christmas parades, and at our open houses and fundraisers. Watch our Facebook page for dates.
Our service area
We are the first-due department for the Debusk community. We respond second and third due to help neighboring departments. Through Rehab, we support all 14 Greene County fire departments, and neighboring counties on request.
